The first secret to the Wax Shack Q-Tip Detail is the people doing it. We are a family business that has been around for over 40 years, and every person who works on your bike is a highly trained technician paid as a skilled worker — never minimum wage employees. We care about your ride.

What a motorcycle detail includes

• Your motorcycle is meticulously hand washed.
• Painted surfaces such as the gas tank get the same full paint correction process we would use on an exotic car — not 1 or 2 steps, but 3: swirls and scratches polished away, a second pass with a Rupes polisher for a perfectly smooth finish, then feeder oils and paint conditioner buffed in slowly with a dual-action polisher for the envied Wax Shack wet look.
• The paint is then ready for our state-of-the-art finish — a beautiful gloss with durable protection against harsh UV sunlight, water, pollution and contamination.
• Chrome is what really makes your bike shine. We polish every little detail by hand, removing oxidised pollutants and tarnish from the metal, then restoring a brilliant lustrous shine. No corrosive or abrasive chemicals — just old-fashioned elbow grease.
• Wheels cleaned by hand to remove corrosive brake dust before it stains or permanently damages chrome and carbon fiber, then polished and protected.
• Tires cleaned and conditioned with sling-free protectant.
• All soft surfaces hand cleaned of dust, dirt and grime, then conditioned and UV protected.
• Natural and synthetic motorcycle leathers cleaned with a pH-balanced cleaner that won’t dry them out, then finished with an aloe-based conditioner with natural oils and a long-lasting UV protectant.

The end result is a bike that looks new and will stay that way as long as possible.
